About Us

Welcome to LJMU’s first ever Bengali Society!

This Society is about all things Bengali! A place where everyone from all backgrounds are welcome whether you want to keep in touch with your own culture, learn a new one or are looking to make new friends and have fun!

As a Society we also hope to collaborate with charities in efforts to combat issues prevalent in present day Bangladesh.

Key Information

We will be holding various events throughout the year so please do follow our social media pages for updates.

Why You Should Join Us?

The Bengali Society has a lot to offer! Our aim is to bring together LJMU’s Asian community to provide a welcoming atmosphere and hopefully make your life at university an even more fun and enjoyable experience.

We will be hosting various social events throughout the year such as meals out in Liverpool, ice-skating, bowling, trampolining and much more! We will also be collaborating with other LJMU societies for more team based socials and so you can make new friends whether they are Nepalese, Indian or Bengali! Immerse yourself in the culture, cuisine and other students looking to experience more.

We are looking forward to meeting you at Fresher’s Fair and at our socials!
